We set two cookies of our own, regardless of your choice: one so the same visitor can't vote twice on a match prediction, and one to remember what you've favourited if you aren't signed in. If you choose Tá, we also set two Google Analytics cookies so we can see how many people are using the site and which pages they land on, and we record how pages are used so we can see where the site is confusing. We do not run ads, we do not sell data, and nobody is being followed around the internet on our account.
If you chose Níl, no analytics cookies were set, nothing was recorded, and neither will happen.
A small text file a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for a site to work at all, others exist to count or track. Ours are the counting kind — plus one that isn't.
The two Google Analytics cookies are only set if you chose Tá. The other two are strictly necessary and set regardless of your choice.

The predictionVoterId, favourites and pendingAchievementsrows above aren't gated by your choice: the ePrivacy Regulations exempt cookies that are strictly necessary for a feature you've actually used, and voting on a match prediction, tapping a star or finding an achievement is exactly that. None is set until you do. Your consent choice itself isn't a cookie — it's stored in your browser's local storage as a single word, granted or denied, and never leaves your device. Session recording keeps its own identifier in local storage rather than in a cookie, which is why the table above has no row for it. That identifier is only written if you chose Tá.
The Aon Scór app sets no cookies, so there is no banner in it. It does send analytics and record how screens get used, which this page's Tá or Níl does not govern: the app has its own switch, under Profile, Privacy, cookies and about, and unlike the site it starts switched on. Turning it off stops events and recording there and then, and the app sends nothing at all next time you open it. What it keeps on your device, and what the recordings leave out, is in the privacy notice.
Google Analytics is run by Google, so the data these cookies collect is processed by Google as well as read by us. What we see is aggregate: page views, rough location by country or county, device type, and how people arrived. We cannot see who you are from it.

If you chose Tá, we also record how pages get used. A recording is not video of you and your camera is never involved: it is a reconstruction of what happened on the screen, so we can watch back where a page was scrolled, what was tapped, and where somebody gave up looking for a fixture.
What is deliberately left out matters more than what is in. Anything typed into a form field is masked before the recording leaves your browser, so we never see it. The admin area, the sign-in pages and your account pages are never recorded at all. We do not know who you are from a recording.
The recordings are handled by PostHog, on servers in Frankfurt, so they stay inside the EU. They are deleted automatically after 30 days. PostHog acts on our instructions and does not use the data for anything of its own.
Click Cookie settings in the footer of any page. That clears your saved choice and brings the banner back. Recording stops there and then, without waiting for a page reload, and neither it nor analytics will start again unless you choose Tá.
One caveat worth stating plainly. Withdrawing consent stops any further analytics loading, but it does not reach back and delete _ga cookies already sitting in your browser. To remove those, clear cookies for this site in your browser settings:
You can also block cookies site-wide in any browser, though be aware that doing so breaks a lot of websites that are not this one.
We rely on your consent under the GDPR and the ePrivacy Regulations (S.I. No. 336/2011). No analytics cookie is placed before you choose, and Tá and Níl are given equal weight because a choice that is nudged is not really a choice.
If we add anything that sets a cookie or collects more than what is described here, this page is updated first. An existing choice carries over rather than the banner asking again every time, so if you want to look afresh at what you agreed to, Cookie settings in the footer clears your choice and brings the banner back.
